Flight Mode is the second release from Dublin Alternative R&B singer Shanny.
The track dives deep into themes of isolation, escapism, and rejection. The clock's ticking in the instrumentation is a poignant metaphor, conveying the relentless passage of time and the looming sense of urgency to change routes. It encapsulates that feeling of being stuck, fully aware of the necessary steps that need to happen for change to take place, but lacking the means or courage to make those moves. The song becomes an anthem for the frustrated and overwhelmed, who resort to various forms of escapism to forget and temporarily sidestep the pressures of reality. With this release, my sound fuses the soulful nuances of jazz and soul with the electronic beats and rhythmic style of R&B.
